Huawei Mate 20 (Pro) Details Revealed By Leaked Firmware

Written by admin

The Huawei Mate 20 is the company’s upcoming flagship handset, and some new info regarding this phone just surfaced, following a number of rumors we’ve seen thus far. This info comes from XDA Developers, as folks over at the site managed to get their hands on the Huawei Mate 20 firmware files, and based on it, a number of Mate 20-related details came to the surface, as expected.

The Huawei Mate 10 (and its siblings) was the first phone that shipped with the Kirin 970 processor Huawei introduced last year, and as expected, the Huawei Mate 20 will be the first phone to debut the upcoming Kirin 980 processor, which will be manufactured using a 7nm process. The Kirin 980 is actually expected to offer a 20-percent better performance, and be 40-percent more power efficient, while it’s expected to arrive at the end of August, during Huawei’s IFA keynote. According to the firmware files, the Huawei Mate 20 will sport a 4,200mAh battery on the inside, and it will not be removable. Of course. A 6.3-inch AMOLED display will be included on the phone, though we still do not know if a notch will be a part of the package or not.

Firmware files also reveal that the Mate 20 will support wireless charging, so it will probably ship with a glass back panel. The phone will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, at least the regular Mate 20 variant, as Huawei is expected to introduce more than one Mate 20-branded smartphone this year, probably the Mate 20 Lite and Mate 20 Pro, in addition to the regular model. Now, the source was able to obtain some details regarding the Mate 20 Lite and Mate 20 Pro as well, and it seems like the Mate 20 Pro will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the Mate 20 Lite will be fueled by the Snapdragon 710, a mid-range processor. It seems like Huawei plans to pre-install Android P on the Mate 20 phones, along with Emotion UI 9.0, at least based on the provided info, but we’ll see what will happen.
