The dramatic assertion was made in a video posted on conspiracy theory YouTube channel ApexTV.
In the video a woman, who identified herself as a Finnish national called ‘Chloe’, claimed she travelled to the year 6,000 as part of a government project.
She went on to produce what she said was a plant collected during the trip.
The alleged time traveller asserted: “I came up to the skyscrapers and saw a very beautiful plant on it.
“It was so nice I couldn’t resist and picked it up.”
The woman claimed she researched the plant upon her return.
She found its name is ‘Roklorulo’ and “that is the name of an ancient plant which was food for dinosaurs a million years ago”.
This plant had apparently been genetically revived by the year 6,000.
However, there are no records of a plant called ‘Roklorulo’ coexisting with any dinosaurs.
The self-proclaimed time traveller also used the video to describe life in year 6,000.
She said: “Imagine floating megatropolis without trails to the ground. Flying cars.
“The ground was entirely green with trees and flowers.
“Skyscrapers were peeking out of the trees. All those skyscrapers were covered with grass, flowers and plants.
“One of the most interesting facts was that plants were not similar to those which we were used to because of genetic engineering.”
However, a number of YouTube commentators cast doubt’s on the woman’s claim.
Commenting on the plant one said: “It’s plastic, it’s like an art work from my project.”
Another added: “The time travellers can bring back plants, photos, useless videos but they can’t bring back proper evidence.
“Nice work Apex TV, you’re making people fools.”
