According to Smith, he was paid substantial amounts of money to to test the futuristic technology by travelling more than 100 years into the future.

He previously produced a picture of what he says is a futuristic city he visited.

Asked in an interview with the Daily Star about whether he knew the lotto numbers, Smith laughed: “I didn’t buy a lottery ticket.

“It was strictly forbidden by the CIA to do anything that would increase my monetary wealth.

“You see the CIA were paying me very well for my mission.

“I was paid a substantial amount so there was no reason for me to try to get lottery numbers from the past.”

He explained that if he had cheated the system and won big, our entire species would be wiped out.

Smith added: “They also explained to me if I did so, it could spell the end of the human race because it would cause a paradox.”

Time paradoxes relate to the idea that if time travel is possible, someone capable of the process would have to be careful not to change past events.

Smith fears that had he made himself rich with the lottery ticket, the knock-on effect could cause disaster for our generation.

Speaking to Apex TV, Smith said he was putting his life at risk by revealing details of his so-called jaunts to the future.

He said: “I visited the year 2118 as part of a top secret CIA mission.

“As to my knowledge, it was one of the first times that time travel had successfully been completed.

“I went to the future and then back to the past. This happened in 1981.”

He added: “Aliens do visit us, there are intelligent extra-terrestrials that do come to Earth, this is in the mid 21st century.

“There is actually contact with intelligent extra-terrestrials long before it was revealed to the public.

“These aliens don’t necessarily live among us but they do visit from time to time.”

He also claims to know the world’s greatest risk in the future.

He added: “There are many threats to the human race.

“The number one threat to humanity as we know it is global warming, rising sea levels as well as the increase in Co2 in our atmosphere.”
